God's Way For You To Go To Heaven
God's Way For You To Go To Heaven
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
(John 14:6, NKJ)
Friend,
Have you been saved, washed in the blood of Jesus Christ for the remissions
of your sins?
Do you want to know beyond any doubt that you are saved? The ONLY
way we can be saved, and be confident that God will accept us
on the Judgment Day, is to follow what is written by the divine inspiration of God. The
Bible is the AUTHORITY on earth in things pertaining to God.
(see 2 Peter 1:3)
What does the Bible say concerning the soul's salvation?
Hear God's Will
2 Peter 3:9 -
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
(NKJ)
Romans 10:17 -
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
(NKJ)
1Thessalonians 2:13 -
"For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the
word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it
is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe."
(NKJ)
Acts 17:11 -
"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they
received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see
if what Paul said was true."
(NIV)
In these verses we understand that God does not want anyone to perish (be lost), but all to be saved and that is why He sent Jesus and gave us His word the Bible. We must not only hear the word of God, but
welcome it into our lives, receive it as the truth; which it is. One must hear and
understand to believe.
Believe
John 8:24 -
Jesus said, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I
am He, you will die in your sins." (NKJ)
Hebrews 11:6 -
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
(NKJ)
John 6:28-29 -
"Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him
whom He sent."
(NKJ)
Repent (turn from sin to
God)
Luke 13:3 -
Jesus said, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." (NKJ)
Acts 17:30 -
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men
everywhere to repent,"
(NKJ)
Acts 2:37-38 -
"Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest
of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent,
and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
(NKJ)
These verses tell us that if we do not repent we will perish, repentance is not a
suggestion or an idea, but a command. Repentance is one of the requirements for the
forgiveness of sins.
Confess Christ
Romans 10:8-10 -
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that
is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation."
(NKJ)
Matthew 10:32-33 -
Jesus said, "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My
Father who is in heaven." "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny
before My Father who is in heaven." (NKJ)
We must confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Be Baptized for the forgiveness of
sins
Romans 6:1-9 -
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly
not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many
of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were
buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have
been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness
of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body
of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has
died has been freed from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that
Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion
over Him."
(NKJ)
Acts 2:38 -
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit."
(NKJ)
1 Peter 3:21 -
"There is also an antitype which now saves us-- baptism (not the removal of the filth
of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection
of Jesus Christ,"
(NKJ)
Galatians 3:26-27 -
"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were
baptized into Christ have put on Christ."
(NKJ)
1 John 5:11-12 -
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
(NKJ)
The sixth chapter of Romans tells us that baptism is a burial where we die to sin. Baptism is where we are "united together" with Christ in the likeness of His death. There is nothing special about the water--it is where Jesus said I will meet you. Then as we arise from the watery grave of baptism we are to walk in newness of life. Sin having died we are a new creation in Christ. Just as Christ died, was buried, and arose; we too must die to sin through the watery grave of baptism and arise being a new spiritual person.
Acts 2:38 - says we are baptized to remove our sins, and when we obey this command we also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Then Worship
God
Acts 2:41-42 -
"Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three
thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."
(NKJ)
Acts 20:7 -
"Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread,
Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until
midnight."
(NKJ)
Live For Jesus
Matthew 16:24 -
"Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
(NKJ)
Revelation 20:12 -
"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged
according to their works, by the things which were written in the books."
(NKJ)
John 14:15 -
"If you love Me, keep My commandments.
(NKJ)
Stay Faithful
Matthew 10:22b -
"And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will
be saved."
(NKJ)
Titus 3:8 -
"This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those
who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are
good and profitable to men."
(NKJ)
Revelation 22:14 -
"Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the
tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city."
(NKJ)
Luke 8:21 -
"But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear
the word of God and do it."

May we all be like the noble Bereans and study the Scriptures daily to find out
whether these things are true, and if they are, then receive the truth with all
eagerness.
So that our Heavenly Father may be glorified, which is our purpose in life.
